~This Week's Sponsor~
(Go to Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog)
$20 Gift Certificate -donated by

Be sure to go toFantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog to enter your project for a chance to win.

This is sadly my last project as a DT member for FCCB, as I am of on a new adventure of mine, having my very first Design Team! I wish all the new DT for FCCB the very best and can't wait to see the inspiration they come up with for the challenges.  As, for my new DT you can come check them out this Thursday, Saturday and Monday (next) for their first Inspirational projects and for a "Challenge" you can enter too!

As fot my Project for this week's FCCB Challenge Shape Card, I chose to do A card from Mini Monsters cartridge to make this cute lil card for my nephews 2nd birthday

I cut the card at 4.25" in Cricut Design Studio and all the coordinating pieces at the same size as too fit the card. The Cricut automatically cuts the coordinating pieces at the correct size for the card, so you don't need to change the cutting size. I used all CTMH product to create my cute lil montser.
Cardstock used:
Base of Card  ~ Lagoon
The Monster Body ~ Sunset
The Patch (which i hand cut) ~ A Scrap piece of Sweetheart paper pack
The eye ~ White Daisy and Lagoon
The Tongue ~ Gypsy

I used "hit The Spot" CTMH clear acrylic stamp set on the Sunset cardstock to create the polk-a-dot look in gypsy color ink.

Check out the "while Supplies Last" Clearance Sale HERE

Hope if your new to my blog you'll become a follower. I Love Comments so of course would love for you to leave a lil comment :)  Be sure to go to FCCB Blog to check out the other Design Team Inspiration and if you want to enter to win make your project and "link" it at FCCB to be eligible to win.

My Vintage Valentine Blog Hop

You should have hopped on over here from Martha C.'s Blog - http://dreamofcrafting.blogspot.com/  if you haven't you'll want to start at the beginning with our wonderful Hostess Jess atKinderStampO - http://www.kinderstampo.com/
I have to tell you, vintage is not my forte, but I love seeing it and was so honored when Jess asked me to be part of this hop. I had so many ideas running thru my head with so many project ideas. I started one project in Studio J, (which is a Digital Scrapbooking program by CTMH, which you can play with for free HERE), but I realised I can't post it cause someone will see it and they can't. So I played around with some of the new CTMH papers and stamps and ended up reverting to one of my favorite papers that I feel has a vintage theme, I forget the name of the paper pack but it is retired. Though originally I was going to use the new "BLISS" level 2 paper pack because I think its beautiful "vintage" paper pack. Anyways, my mom sent so many printed pictures from when i was a kid and long before that I need to sort and store in a better place than an old U-haul box. I thought What a great project for this to store some of those "vintage" photos from when my mom was a kid and when my grandparents were kids. I chose to alter a CTMH My Creations Recipe/Photo Box (Z1322). Here is the finished Box:

I know its supposed to be "Valentine Themed" but valentine's day is about love and I do Love my family (sometimes, but don't let them know). J/K.  This Box is full of "Loved" photos that someday will end up in a Scrapbook Album someday, I hope soon. I just realised as I posted the pictures i forgot to add my "pearls". will have to do that in the morning and update my pictures.

Here's a lil Video Tutorial video on how to alter one of thes cool CTMH My Creations Recipe/Photo Box

Fantabulous Cricut Crawl ~ Share The Love

Welcome to the fourth Fantabulous Cricut Crawl...Fantabulous Cricut's version of a blog hop!

Fantabulous Cricut

Valentine's Day is in a week and everyone at Fantabulous Cricut has decided to Share the Love!   Each Design Team member will be featuring an original Valentine-themed project that includes the word LOVE somewhere on it.

If you've come from visiting Jenny: http://jennyplace26.blogspot.com/ , you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Fantabulous Cricut Crawl, start HERE

Make sure to check out each DT member's blog for some awesome inspiration! There will be PRIZES along the way at some of our DT members' blogs, AND there will be a Grand Prize up for grabs at FCCB for one participant that submits a "Share the Love" project at FCCB!

How fun is that?

For my project...Is not at all what i had planned, good thing I have back up plans cause otherwise you'd be looking at some pretty pathetic paper roses! I really wanted to make a beautiful banner that said "love is In the Air" with the paper Roses all over the banner. Well, I'm sorry to disappoint you I only managed to get a half way ok one done, I am just as disappointed and frustrated too. So, instead  I did a simple picture frame with one on it. I cut Minnie out from Mickey and Friends cartridge and I used the new CTMH "wings" Paper for the background. Its the butterfly pattern I used each side. The Circle is cut from Amore (i think and its retired) The brown plaid paper is CTMH too and that is too retired.  I used a 5x7 acrylic frame and i cut the circle tag "Love" out from Paper Pups.

For the 3-D paper Rose I made a cut file and have been tweaking it for a bit. Hardest part is putting the flowers together, as I don't have any written instructions or a video to follow. I haven't created one cause i fumbled through, my right arm and hand jsut don't have the mobility to do it I guess. So I challenge anyone willing to write a tutorial and/or do a video on how to make these 3-D Paper Roses.
You can get the MTC File HERE or the SVG File HERE

Here is the Frame w/the flower:

This last rose is another file i made its in with the 3D Rose and the 3-D Rose has leaves too I just couldn't get the leaf to look right on the frame.  If you make a tutorial written or video email me to let me know and I'll put you in a drawing for a free digital stamp set from my new line of JJ's Digi Designz or a Paper Layout kit.
Don't forget still have a few days left to apply for my Design teams! Check out my ealier post about My venture in getting a Design team of my Own! HERE is the link
Now it's your turn! Let's see your Share the Love projects!  Make sure to include a Cricut cut somewhere on your project and the word Love! Go To FCCB and post to the "linky" a picture to your project!

Next stop...Jordan: http://cutecuteworld.blogspot.com/ Go see what she has in store for you today... And when you're done, make sure to link up your project to FCCB's Fantabulous Cricut Crawl post to be entered into the contest!

Happy Crawling!

Here IS the Full Blog Hop List should you get lost or there's any broken links (hopefully none of those)

Spotlight Sunday! ~ krinklzbaby

As you know every Sunday I'll be Spotlighting some very talented crafters and Crafty Business Owners. The  crafting world is a large place and we all have different talents and  specialties. I love finding new blogs, fanpages and websites to go to. I love sharing their talent with everyone. being that the crafting world is so huge and we are all unique as are our crafts. I not only think its great to have competetors because it gives you choices. Also, because we are unique, we all do things jsut differently and not all of us do the same "things".  Every Sunday I will be spotlighting fellow Crafters and  am very excited in sharing their Interviews and them sharing their  crafting world and a lil about themselves too!
If you want to know more  about me "The Scrapoholic", you can scroll down on my sidebar to find  the "about Me".
If you would like to be "Spotlighted" just email me , put Spotlight Sunday as Subject and I'll email you the questionnaire and let you know when you'll be "spotlighted".

Without any further ado I'd like to introduce you to:

What is your Real Name?
Erin Berger

What are you Known as in "forums"/"blogs"?
krinklzbaby

Short Bio ~
I just turned 31 years young and am married to an amazing and supportive man with whom I have two magnificent daughters. Squidgy is 2 years old, and Jujubee is 16 months. Yes, they are close in age, yes they drive me crazy...but I love them more than anything :-)
I grew up in Galena, Illinois and have lived overseas for 5 years of my adult life. I lived in St. Andrews, Scotland for four years while I attended the University of St. Andrews, graduating with a B.Sc. in Biology. (Yes, where Prince William went, yes I have seen him...but he was a mere first year when I was in my fourth year. And yes, the home of golf, but no, I still don't golf haha!) After a short time back in the states, I went abroad again to Daegu, South Korea to teach English for a year to kids of all ages. I'm now back in Illinois, but not close enough to family or friends for my liking!

What is your favorite Craft?
Sewing
How Did Discover Scrapbooking (or Craft?)
How did you learn to do Scrapbooking (or Craft?)
How Long have you been Scrapbooking (or Crafting?)
My mother taught me how to sew when I was younger, and we worked on a quilt top that my grandmother had started. I gave it up for a long time and she re-taught me a couple years ago when my daughter was born. My mother-in-law gave me my sewing machine as a Christmas present. So I have really only being sewing for a couple of years, and know I have a lot to learn. I love trying new things and figuring out how to make something work...though I do get frustrated now and then when my vision exceeds my sewing ability :-)

What "style" would you describe your Personal crafting?
Free-form and imaginative. I don't like to follow instructions and prefer to make it up as I go until I find a way that works best. That is the stubborn independent woman in me!

What are your 3 favorite projects and why?The Interactive Pillows are a lot of fun to design and I can get really creative with them, imagining what crinkly fun I can create for the front of them.
The Crinkly Roly Cubes are also fun to design, and I simply have to toss them around a bit once they are finished. I would like to have a room full of those someday just to play in!
My third favorite project is the ever-growing list of future designs I am just dying to find time to create! Imagining new ways to incorporate crinkle into baby friendly products is definitely motivation to keep working!

What are some of the drawback to the craft you find?
There are not enough hours in the day! Also, that I see mass produced items employing techniques or materials that I cannot use or have the equipment to produce...knowing that parts of them may be "cooler" than what I can do can be frustrating.

What are some of the enjoyments to the craft you find?Desiging, sewing, and all of the crucial steps inbetween are all theraputic to me. It allows me to enter a different and focused world (as long as the kids are asleep and I'm the only one home), and I find I need it to stay sane and challenge myself daily.

Do you use sketches?I tend to draw a rough sketch when I get an idea, so I do not lose the idea to the black hole that is my mommy-brain :-) But as for already created products, I just lay out fabrics and match them up as I like!

Where do you find Inspiration?I find inspiration through fabric shopping! I am a fabriholic, indeed. There is nothing as inspirational as finding amazing fabric with a great price, and imagining everything I can create with it. However, my fabric supply and inspiration greatly exceeds my time to create.

When you loose your "mojo" how do you get it back?Short term, I can be re-energized by reading the amazing comments and feedback I get from my clients, especially from the fabulous photos they share of their beautiful children loving what I have created!
Long term, House Hunters International! I have big plans and long term goals for Krinklz Baby, and when I start to feel overwhelmed I take 20 minutes to watch an episode, and can be fully motivated again dreaming of living overseas again :-)

Can you briefly describe how your process of creating begins? Such as with color, theme, etc choice?
This all comes down to fabric design. That is where I start everything...and what creates the vision in my head for what I want to create!

What are your top 3 favorite tools?
My rotary cutters.
My templates.
My chalk roller.

What are your Top 3 favorite embellishments? Here, I only have one. That is of course my super secret, washer and dryer safe crinkly material!

What advice would you give to a newbie jsut starting in this crafting?Truly be passionate about what you are creating. If you don't absolutely love it, it will become frustrating and overwhelming, with no way to stay motivated to challenge yourself.
Any organizational tips you'd like to share?Whiteboards and every imaginable color of dry erase marker you can get your hands on! Write everything down, color code it so you can wrap your head around it in a glance. Then of course all of the boring back-end spreadsheets for detailed inventory and cost records (blah.).
Any Budget Cost cutting tips?I'm still trying to figure this one out myself. I try to only buy supplies on sale. The best tip...start out with a sizeable amount of money and work space so you can purchase wholesale in bulk!
What made you decide to start a Blog, website, Facebook Fan page, etc?I started my website first, so I could sell my products at a retail price without having the overhead and headache of a brick and mortar store. My Facebook fan page was the next step, as a way to build the Krinklz Baby brand and gain a loyal fan base. My blog is still a work in progress...but I try to use it to keep my customers up to date with what is happening in the Krinklz Kingdom.
What are the web addresses to all your places?www.krinklzbaby.com
http://krinklzbaby.storeblogs.com/
Do you sell any of your crafting projects?
If so, where can one purchase them? (websites email, etc.)Krinklz Baby products can be purchased through the website, or contacting my through my facebook fan page.

Just to show you the blanket I bought from her for my nephew for Christmas, oh its so cool! Everyone here loved playing with it and I'm sure to be a regular customer!

Two Chicks and a Birthday Hop

Nicole and Meighen's Bday/ Bloggerversary Bash This bog hOp runs from Feb 5th to Feb 6th!

You should Have come from  Liset - www.hailemnat.blogspot.com  If not you can start at the beginning  at   Meighen - http://scrappin3rdeeschik.blogspot.com/

We all were to choose a Holiday and do a Birthday Themed Card, Layout or Project to go along with the Holiday we chose. Well, I chose April Fool's Day! I knew the exact card I was gonna do the minute I saw the cut in the Cricut Best of Pixar Cartridge! I made a "pocket" style card. It was one i kinda just winged it so can't really give you any measurements or how i did it cause i'm not completely sure. Ever do that where you just whip something together and your not sure what your doing but you do? Well, thats what I did. So without any further ado here's my April Fool's Birthday Card:

I did use the New CTMH "lucky" Paper and "chocolate" Cardstock. I used word to print out my saying for the card, whcih if its difficult to read cause its a bit blurry It says "For Your Birthday I booked a special date with a Hollywood Beauty. Check the List on the back for available Beauties to choose from."..
on the back it says ... "the Only one who accepted was Justin Bieber or beautiful Me"  "happy Birthday"

I thought Roz was perfect for this type of card and when i saw her i knew before this hop that i'd make a card like this.

So anyways, leave me a comment if you choose, I love comments and I read each and everyone :) and you could ahve a chance to win my new line of Digital Stamps "LOVE BITES"

Here's the Sample pictures of a portion of the "Love Bites" Digi Stamp set.  These will be just  B&W and no wording printing over them when purchased! The Wording and pink color is to protect the copyrights of the stamps.
