Jenn Parmelee

Jenn Parmelee

Short Bio ~  I am a stay at home mom to 2 wonderful boys and I am very happily married to my best friend.  I have recently moved back to my hometown to be around my family including my 9 nieces and nephews.

My favorites:  I love paper!  I have a serious addiction to all things paper and there is nothing better than scrapping away while watching racing.

How did you learn to do Scrapbooking (or Craft?)
Self taught for the most part.  I started scrapbooking with scissors, paper, stickers and rubber cement.    I know you are all cringing right about now... :D

Since 1993

What "style" would you describe your Personal crafting?
I don't know that I really have a style since I enjoy different styles for different moods.

Do you do any Digital Scrapbooking or other digital media art?
I have tried it, but I enjoy the textures too much to stick with digital.

What are your 3 favorite projects and why?
Mini albums, cards, and altered items.

What are some of the drawback to the craft you find?
The cost and the lack of time.

What are some of the enjoyments to the craft you find?
I find paper crafting relaxing and it helps keep me sane.

Do you use sketches?
Occasionally, but I more often than not just "wing it"

I am on Jill The Scrapoholic's MTC design team

When you lose your "mojo" how do you get it back?
I like to look at my older LO's, other people's blogs, and a cocktail never hurts.. lol

Can you briefly describe how your process of creating begins? Such as with color, theme, etc choice?
I usually start with the theme and then go from there.

What are your top 3 favorite tools?
My computer and my MTC is my can't live without, then chalks, and really awesome paper!

What are your Top 3 favorite embellishments?
They change but right now it is handmade roses, ribbons, and Smooch Spritz!

I like to share all of my designs and I have recently started sharing MTC cut files on my blog.

What advice would you give to a newbie just starting in this crafting?
Relax, have fun and remember there is no right or wrong.  Let your creativity guide you.

Any organizational tips you'd like to share?  Are you kidding me?
I am the least organized crafter in the world... lol

Any Budget Cost cutting tips?
Think outside the box.  Always try to use what you have instead of buying something new and always, always share with friends if you can.

What made you decide to start a Blog, website, Facebook Fan page, etc?
I started a blog as a way to be creative and share with family and friends, and then someone suggested an fb fan page. I find both fun, exciting and challenging.

What are the web addresses to all your places?

Do you sell any of your crafting projects?
I sold my cards and crafts at a small consignment store in AZ that sadly went out of business. I am looking for new avenues currently.

Now its Time to Head off to Jenn's Blog or Facebook page and Have a looksy and maybe follow her and leave her a lil loving too while you there :)
