Microwave/TV Stand Makeover!

I got this Microwave/tv stand off Freecycle when we first moved back to Oregon, five years ago.  It went from storing crafting supplies, to my daughters room for her TV and stuff, back to storing crafting supplies.  I don't have a craft room, I was using the garage, but then our garage got full of couches and recliners when we were given a matching living room set. My oldest daughter asked me to save our eclectic living room set for her. Now in our tiny master bedroom has my necessary scrapbooking supplies, my kitchen table is no longer used for eating cause its full of projects and a corner of our tiny living room is full of other projects.

Anyways, inspired by Pinterest, I gave my microwave/TV stand a makeover before bringing it into my room. While in the process of painting it, I also, gave my plastic draws (I got for a steal at Goodwill for $2 each), a makeover too!

If you've never heard of Freecycle, you MUST check it out! FREECYCLE.org  Its not in all cities/locations but if its in your area, its not only a great way to get rid of things you no longer use but don't want to throw it away or have time to sell and its a great place to find things too!

Here is the Before photo
Hubby sanded it for me :) then I spray painted the inside. Once that was done. I put a box inside each "opening" to prevent the paint for the outer part getting in.

Here are After Photos

Its now full of scrapping supplies! You can see my Plastic Draws which were a light tanish color, now are black and seaglass. I thought I had used the same colors but once I got inside, I noticed a slight difference, but I like it. I used Krylon spray paint to paint both the stand and the draws. Each took 3 coats. The first 2 coats were very light and the 3rd was just slightly heavier.

Trial NEW Shop! @ Shopify

I am trying out "Shopify" to see if its a fit for me vs. Etsy. I will still be able to accept credit cards and paypal payments. But if it works, I can list individual cut files, I'll still have some "bundles", but on etsy it isn't affordable to list individual at reasonable price.

You can check out my trial store HERE.

I've listed a few items I have in my Etsy Shop, but also some NEW files that are not listed on Etsy, (see below).  If you should choose to order, during check out use "Testing" to get 10% off total purchase!

I would love to here your thoughts/feedback on the Shopify store.

Summer FUN Cut Files added to my Etsy Shop!

I have added some FUN cut Files that are "Summer" related to my Etsy Shop!

Sure hope, y'all are having a great summer and making some great memories! I have been sick with the longest cold I have ever had. For two months I've been fighting it. The worst is the coughing that just won't go away. I'm feeling better with the exception of the nagging cough. Its gotten better but every now and then throughout the day it comes up. I've checked in with my Dr. & Chiropractor and both have assured me no Bronchitis or ammonia. We are making the best of our summer though.

New Border Cut Files added to my Etsy Shop

I've added a few Fun Borders Cut Files to my Etsy Shop. EachBorder has 5 to 7 different sizes. Why do I make the borders in different sizes? you ask. Simple, "one size" doesn't always fit "All"! Sometimes, that "one size" doesn't resize well or sometimes your layout or card or project requires a Different size for a lil different look. They give you the versatility you may need! I'm working on converting and test cutting many more borders and hope to be adding more.

I'm also, looking at growing outside Etsy to different site to sell on that will give me more freedom to list differently. If the price can be justified and my needs for check out and the need for instant download after purchase, which is my biggest concern and need can be met! Fingers crossed that I can find the right fit for me and of course for you!

Here are the Borders I have listed!
You can Find the in my Etsy Shop
in the "Border" Section.
