Jen's Birthday Hop

Welcome to Jen's Birthday Hop.
The theme is turtle's cause Jen loves turtles!

You should have hopped here from  Theresa's Blog. If you just happened upon here you want to start from the beginning you'll want to start at Jen's Blog and Wish her a Happy Birthday and see the Blog Candy that's up for prizes one of which I donated.  Otherwise your here check out my cute lil project.

I made a CTMH Card/Recipe Box. I used CTMH "Miracle" papers from the Level 2 Miracle Paper Pack. I used CTMH Cardstock to make "Squirt" from Cricut Best of Pixar Cartridge. I inked the edges of all the "turtles" pieces with CTMH juniper ink.  I inked the edges of the papers with Chocolate ink and the box in bubble gum ink.
These boxes are great for storing cards (4 1/4 x 5 1/2 size) or recipe note cards or even your photos waiting to be scrapped.  The regular size provo craft and sizzix emboss folder fit in these boxes perfectly too.

Thanks for stopping by. If your not following me, I'd love for you to. Comments make me smile and I love reading them!
Happy Hopping!

Your next lily pad to stop at is Jennifer's Blog

Fantabulous Cricut Crawl ~ Share The Love

Welcome to the fourth Fantabulous Cricut Crawl...Fantabulous Cricut's version of a blog hop!

Fantabulous Cricut

Valentine's Day is in a week and everyone at Fantabulous Cricut has decided to Share the Love!   Each Design Team member will be featuring an original Valentine-themed project that includes the word LOVE somewhere on it.

If you've come from visiting Jenny: http://jennyplace26.blogspot.com/ , you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Fantabulous Cricut Crawl, start HERE

Make sure to check out each DT member's blog for some awesome inspiration! There will be PRIZES along the way at some of our DT members' blogs, AND there will be a Grand Prize up for grabs at FCCB for one participant that submits a "Share the Love" project at FCCB!

How fun is that?

For my project...Is not at all what i had planned, good thing I have back up plans cause otherwise you'd be looking at some pretty pathetic paper roses! I really wanted to make a beautiful banner that said "love is In the Air" with the paper Roses all over the banner. Well, I'm sorry to disappoint you I only managed to get a half way ok one done, I am just as disappointed and frustrated too. So, instead  I did a simple picture frame with one on it. I cut Minnie out from Mickey and Friends cartridge and I used the new CTMH "wings" Paper for the background. Its the butterfly pattern I used each side. The Circle is cut from Amore (i think and its retired) The brown plaid paper is CTMH too and that is too retired.  I used a 5x7 acrylic frame and i cut the circle tag "Love" out from Paper Pups.

For the 3-D paper Rose I made a cut file and have been tweaking it for a bit. Hardest part is putting the flowers together, as I don't have any written instructions or a video to follow. I haven't created one cause i fumbled through, my right arm and hand jsut don't have the mobility to do it I guess. So I challenge anyone willing to write a tutorial and/or do a video on how to make these 3-D Paper Roses.
You can get the MTC File HERE or the SVG File HERE

Here is the Frame w/the flower:

This last rose is another file i made its in with the 3D Rose and the 3-D Rose has leaves too I just couldn't get the leaf to look right on the frame.  If you make a tutorial written or video email me to let me know and I'll put you in a drawing for a free digital stamp set from my new line of JJ's Digi Designz or a Paper Layout kit.
Don't forget still have a few days left to apply for my Design teams! Check out my ealier post about My venture in getting a Design team of my Own! HERE is the link
Now it's your turn! Let's see your Share the Love projects!  Make sure to include a Cricut cut somewhere on your project and the word Love! Go To FCCB and post to the "linky" a picture to your project!

Next stop...Jordan: http://cutecuteworld.blogspot.com/ Go see what she has in store for you today... And when you're done, make sure to link up your project to FCCB's Fantabulous Cricut Crawl post to be entered into the contest!

Happy Crawling!

Here IS the Full Blog Hop List should you get lost or there's any broken links (hopefully none of those)

Are you Ready for some FOOTBALL?

Ok, so its not Sunday or Monday night, not even Thursday or Saturday but I have some football for you anyways! We are HUGE football fans here...mostly NFL, my Husband and son do watch some college ball but not me! Anyways, My son is a HUGE Saints fan, he's been one since they drafted Reggie Bush which was his favorite player, now he has too many to keep track of! Its quite fun watching him learn football, the rules, injuries, plays and all that. Since Christmas is going to be pretty small here I thought I'd make my kids lots of fun Unique gifts, nothing thier rich friends won't be able to get! I also, have a couple nephews too that i made some football stuff for cause they like football too. So here are just a few of the stuff I have finished:

Cut with vinyl for my nephew

Cut with vinyl for my other nephew. sorry its a bit blurry forgot to take picture before i put the transfer tape on.
I sell vinyl cuts too. Prices vary on size, number of colors, etc. For a quote Email me at TheScrapoholic@gmail.com

Cricut Robotz Cartridge
Cricut Robotz also face mask and shoelace designed in MTC!

Green Bay Packer Robot front flap opens to put small "giftables" in.

Close up of the Head. Used Google eyes and markers Don't you like his 5 o'clock shadow

Sholaces I designed in Make The Cut (MTC!)

Steelers Robotz Robot front flap opens to put small "giftables" in.

Close up of the Head. Used Google eyes and markers Don't you like his 5 o'clock shadow

Sholaces I designed in Make The Cut (MTC!)

I do sell these Robotz in different ways. If you'd like a football one or regular one jsut shoot me an email. TheScrapoholic@gmail.com  I sell them unassembled (everything is cut, scored and inked (if desired)) you just add adhesive. for $4ea..  Assembled is $6.  Both include first class shipping with no tracking tracking is an additional $.80 as i do it thru paypal and that is how much more it costs me. I don't go to the post office because I usually don't drive and 2 i don't like going out in  public due to my condition, even though i take meds i still panic and have major anxiety of someone bumping into me and hitting my arm and causing more pain.

This is unfinished Ornament I made with the round Coke bottles for my son.

I used Black, Gold and Clear "Skittles" with foam filler (for the squishy pillows) and gold glitter)

I used Black and Gold Metallic vinyl to cut Saints Symbol and "Who Dat?" and spray painted the cap with gold paint

This is a Canvas I made for my son. I took some step by step photos. I used 2 canvas', a 16 x20 wood framed canvas and a 8x10 flat canvas which was popped up using 3-D glue dots.
This is the large "base" canvas. I cut Saints emblem and word out of vinyl as a stencil

I spray painted just around the edge of the large canvas. No need to waste paint in the middle as it will be covered by the other canvas later.

Removed the Vinyl for the "white" to show thru

Added the 8x10 flat canvas and inked the edges in browns for a look of dirt

I matted "trading cards" of Saints Players and adhered them to the canvas with glue dots ( i f ind they hold best to canvas) and added the Big Saints emblem (cut in metallic Gold vinyl)

Added the outline on the side words and "who dat" with black vinyl and the inner lettering with the Gold Metallic vinyl and also "New Orleans" and the emblem in layerd vinly and the lil helmet i cut off a package of the trading cards and popped it up.
I can also sell these canvas.  I can quote a price because it all depends on the detail of the work and how much you want, how big, etc. but Say for one like this would be $35 plus shipping. Again if interested shoot me an email TheScrapoholic@gmail.com

Fantabulous Cricut Blog Challenge ME Monday #37

Create a project having something to do with being Thankful As always there needs to be an image cut using your cricut on your project.

I chose to do a Thankful tree. I used both Happy Hauntings for the "tree" and the "table" and Pooh and Friends for  the "leaves. I also, inked and embossed the leaves. I inked the edges in CTMH ink Cranberry and used Divine swirls Emboss folder.  For the leaves I use CTMH Terracotta and Colonial White Cardstock (sponged inked in numerous colors to get the colored effect) for the leaves top and shadow. For the Tree I used CTMH Chocolate Cardstock. For the table I used CTMH terracotta and topiary cardstock.
Though I found I had to double up on the Tree and the base of the table. Meaning I cut 2 of each and adhered them together and I still found them to be a bit flimsy. I would suggest using chipboard then covering in preferred color of cardstock for more sturdiness. Overall I am still pleased with its overall outcome and can't wait to use it on Thanksgiving and everyone to write on the back of the leaves what they are
Thankful For!

Now its your turn! Go HERE to get to Fantabulous Cricut Blog Monday Challenge

Fantabulous Cricut Monday Challenge! #36

Challenge #36 --Achoo!
Create a project having something to do with being sick (i.e. get well card, band-aid, "flu-bug", etc.)
Chech out all the design teams Entries HERE
Then go do one of your own and link it to Fantabulous Cricut Blog for a chance to win

Here is my Design. I played with my new (early Birthday Gift) Mini Monsters Cartridge. I thought the frog was cute and so I cut him while making my tags for a swap at Paper Crafts by Candace. So as you'll see my Frog is part Blue. Well, it all started by a happy accident and this is the card I made:
Its a Tri-Fold Card and you can find written and video instructions on an earlier post of mine HERE

Front closed view

Left Side "panel" Open View

Middle "Panel" Open view

Right Side "panel" open view

The card Opened View

I used all CTMH (Close To My Heart) Papers and cardstock. Which don't forget if you spend $100 in CTMH product you not only get the SOTM (Stamp Of The Month) free but you get ANY stamps set FREE!! I colored the google eyes with a blue sharpie for his eyes to look "droopy sick". I embossed the green part of the frog and the "Don't Croak" with my trusty old swiss dots folder, that i ever so love! I used 2 dragonfly brads. Cranberry ribbon. Flowers one paper and the other silk with green brad. A Medicine bottle button and the Thermometer is a "button" too. I believe the buttons are "Dress Me Up" or something like that, i know you know what I'm talking about if i have the name wrong its close though, i think! OF course I inked the edges of all my papers, if i didn't something would be wrong! LOL! I used Chocolate ink. Its not eatable sorry ladies, i tried and its quite disgusting and turns your tongue brown for quite awhile. I think I covered all the bases, if not I know my card base is covered with adorable paper :)  Hope you get inspired to make something for the challenge and be brave enough to post. I know its good enough, I'm telling you it is and I wouldn't say so if it weren't true. I believe in you, so you need to believe in yourself!

Monster mash Blog Hop! Day 3

This is the Third Day of the Monster Mash Hop hosted by Jenny at Crazy About Cricut , so if this is your first stop I suggest you Start here at the beginning http://www.crazyaboutcricut.blogspot.com/  IF you have arrived here from Stacie's Blog http://www.staceyscreativecorner.blogspot.com/ you haven't been spooked off your path.

I just also want to say Thank you for all the comments! I don't think I've ever had so many! Yahoo doesn't know what to do with them all and shame on them throwing all the love in my spam box! Then they keep the elderly dating and care and all the credit card and work at home ones in my inbox!

I've chosen to do a new project everyday! Simply because I couldn't decide on just one and kept changing my mind so I figure well why not post one every day!  So if you didn't see yesterday's project be sure to check it out!

Here is the Spooktacular Hay ride of blogs you should be on. Not all are having new projects everyday but you MUST see all of the Frightfully awesome projects these gals have done! be sure to follow their blogs for more projects that they post regularly and be kind and leave them a comment!

Should there be any scaring you to the point you get lost heres the blog list too!

Today I'm excited about these guys! You remember this Guy?

My Scarecrow was the first one i made and the easiest!

These two have been a bit more complicated. I have made my own MTC (Make The Cut) Files for these. I still need to work on the covers they need just (hopefully) one more adjustment. My goal is that when you open the file you don't need to resize, you will need to move some stuff to cut. I have decided once these files are finished and just right, I am going to charge a small fee because i've worked really really hard and put alot of time into them. I also, decide that some files like these that i put more than a week's worth of time into I will charge a small fee. Still affordable, but my time is worth something. As much as I love to share, many friends, family and even co-workers (other bloggers that I've made cyber friends with) have said that I should charge for some of the stuff. Yadda, yadda, yadda back to the projects!

Here is my Witch!  She i made the boxes into actual boxes.  So it doesn't open like an Exploding Box.  She stands about 14" tall when all stacked! Other than the spider which is from Cricut paper Dolls, and the metal buckle and ribbon, all else is cut in MTC with my files i made. I used all CTMH cardstock.

Here is Dracula! He stands about 11" tall.  He has his vest embossed with the spider web emboss folder and the buttons are CTMH Pearls. All of him is cut from the MTC files I made too! As You can see his "hair" doesn't quite fit and his "eyes" need to be just slightly bigger! I used all CTMH Cardstock.

Thats it for me today! Don't forget to Check back Tomorrow for the Last day of the Spooktackular treats!

Here's what I have for today! Not the greatest pictures as it has been overcast here in So. CAL for the last few days so no great natural light and having to use my flash and lots of shadows. But i have to tell you i just LOVE this kind of weather, makes me a bit homesick for Oregon! These are what i like to call "card candy" not sure what I want to do with them yet. I haven't "embellished" them or even adhered them yet as i want to figure out what i want to use them on. I used the cute stamp set from CTMH "Party Animal"one of my new favorites! I used CTMH Black and Pear cardstock and cut the shapes in MTC and my Cricut using 09Kut Ups Font and Basic shapes in MTC, with a sheet of the (double sided) orange/purple polk a dot paper from CTMH "hooligans" paper pack.  (which you can purchase any of the papers, inks and stamps from my site by simply clicking the words) I used the same inks to ink the edges. I colored the little monsters in with Copic markers.
