Just like my Saturday Sketch, I forgot to post my Friday Freebie too. I know I haven't been posting on a regular schedule like I've said I'd try to. I do apologize, as life is still crazy and hiccups keep happening. But I am trying to get my schedule going and stick to it and hope to have my post be regular again. I am still trying to recover my files from my computer that I waited 5 months to (not) get fixed. i slowly am recovering my files, but its taking a lot longer than I expected. I have been making some new ones to break up the monotony of the mundane life I live. I thank you for still being a fan and sticking around and waiting for me.  :)  I do love sharing my creations and I love seeing others creations too!

This is the Freebie File for you:
freebies stay up free for a week. After a week they will be available for sale for $0.99 and some will be available for sale in a "Collection", that the MTC/SVG cuts go together as a theme. Also, Soon Scrapsome Store (which I am a DT member, and you've probably seen me post about them) will be selling my files soon. I will make a HUGE announcement when they takes place. It will be a bit of time though!

Scrapsome Design Team First Challenge Snips & Snails 3 of 3 Projects

As you may (or may not) have seen my past two post (three really) of the products I received from Scrapsome to do my DT Challenge which was to do anything! I just LOVE the Kids paper Doodle Bug "Snips & Snails" and the Bazzil Cardstock plus the cardstock Stickers!

I was flooded with so many things to do! If you missed the Mini Pocket Album I made and Posted you can check it out HERE and if you missed the Coordinating Card check it out HERE

Of course with any gift and a Card, what do you need?
A Bag or Box, of course!

I haven't mad one of these in so long! I came across a whole punch of these Clear Acrylic Pillow Boxes that I've had for quite some time. I remember at a Scrapbook Expo in CA I want to say it was the 2nd one I went to. There was a booth that had these as a Make n Take. It was a smaller one and for a Birthday. I of course made mine to coordinate with and Hold the Card and Mini Album I made.

Start with the Clear Acrylic Pillow Box
You can make one out of Paper or Cardstock too

You cut a 4" x 12" Strip from your choice of Paper.
Wrap around the Pillow Box and adhere the edge
that laps over the other edge of paper.

Then you cut a 4" x 4" (or size of your choice)
as you can see I missed measured and cut short so I made do with what I did.
You adhere the Square down after you ink or distress the edges, if you choose.

Next, you cut a 3.5" x 3.5" Square, round the corners if you like.
Ink or Distress the edges of the paper, if you want to.
Then adhere it to the bigger square that is already adhered down.

This is where you Choose to decorate for your Theme and Style.
I used the Doodle Bug Paper Snips n Snails Print that had Borders of Clothesline with baby items.
I cut/trimmed out another Clothesline, added adhesive to the back
and wrapped it around the Pillow Box.

I then started adding the Paper House "Born To Be Wild" Cardstock Stickers.

 A CARD, of course!

I usually flip thru my Sketches to find what I think will work with the paper and Theme plus the "Style".

Here is My Sketch I used:

I made a coordinating card that I personally think is just adorable!

Scrapsome Design Team First Challenge Snips & Snails 1 of 3 Projects

I posted a "Sneak Peak", a week or so ago, of the products I received from Scrapsome to do my DT Challenge which was to do anything! I just LOVE the Kids paper Doodle Bug "Snips & Snails" and the Bazzil Cardstock plus the cardstock Stickers!

When I saw the Designed Doodle Bug Paper, I was so excited! I was flooded with so many things to do! I just had a new nephew born in March and haven't made anything for the parents or baby or his Big Brother yet! I was running out of time and had to get making something! The first thing i made was a simple Mini pocket Album! Its small enough to carry around in your purse or Diaper Bag.

I tried making a video but just kept getting interrupted or messing up the measurements. so a video will be coming soon, the past 2 days were bad arm days and doing a video on major pain meds, not sure if it would be funny or just plain embarrassing plus I slept most of the 2 days away. I had my post pre-written, hoping that on Monday I was going to get the video done but like I said I haven't. But I also am working on a cut-file with several "designs" for this mini Album simply because I know for me (and maybe its just me & my brain that can't seem to get the measurements scored properly. So, those will come along with the video, fingers crossed later this week as I need to test cut them before I share! I had to wing the measurements because I found this adorable mini album on Pintrest but the blog no longer existed :(.

Don't you just hate when that happens!? I know I do, or when it brings you to the main blog and not the post because it wasn't pinned properly.  Which reminds me I want to do a tutorial on how to "Pin" a great "Pin" properly so you don't have to go searching a blog most times unsuccessfully and wasting more time trying to find the post nevermind the time spent on Pintrest "Pinning" and finding more and more stuff to "pin" LOL!

Blah-Blah-Blah! Here is what you came here to see; the pics of the adorable Mini Album!

"Sneak Peak" at Scrapsome Products for the DT Challenge

As I have told you earlier, I have been selected to be part of the new "Scrapsome" Store Design Team. I'm very excited for so many reasons!  One I get to help a fellow scrapper grow her business and y'all know I love to help fellow scrappers, well just nice people too! Plus, I will be scrappin more, which means I will be accomplishing more crafty things, which also means I will be posting and sharing those wonderful projects too! I will be doing tutorials both written and video starting soon. Also, it'll be nice to work with a freedom of different brands and companies and not feeling so much of focusing on selling to meet my minimum while i was a CTMH consultant. Not that I don't like CTMH products, but lets just say I've been burnt by several other consultants, customers and of course Corporate.

But I also, will give me a reason to get back to scrapping and I mean really scrapping you know to stand up to my name  "The Scrapoholic"! It's been a long journey the past 5 years and its been difficult the past several years where reality has set in and acceptance has come slowly. I Thank All of you who have left comments or emails that have been inspiring and supportive/understanding.  Sorry, I haven't replied back to each of them, I do mean to but I get distracted and i know its a poor excuse, but lately my ADD is on overload of ADD!.

Alright, back on track here, about Scrapsome Design Team (DT), its going to be a helpful healing process of accepting my limitations of things I can do and how slow I am now. Each Week at Scrapsome FB (FACEBOOK) Page, there will be a challenge either using certain products from their store, a certain "project" or a sketch either Card or Layout or both.  This current challenge we get to choose what we want to do, no Limits Challenge! So my brain has been awakened when I received this package in the mail the beginning of the week.
You can follow along or join in the challenges too on Scrapsome FB Fan Page.

Oh what could be inside?!

It's always nice to get something in the Mail other than Bills or Junk Mail!

The Design Team (DT) at Scrapsome received their packages of supplies for our first Official DT Challenge. I am not sure if we all received the same items or not? I am so excited with what we have to work with. I have several ideas I want to do, hoping to at least 2 of my ideas! Without further ado here are the supplies that came in my package:

DoodleBug Design Printed Double Sided Cardstock Paper,
Bazzil Cardstock and Paper House Cardstock Stickers!

Doodlebug Design Snips & Snails "Hanging Around" Double Sided
Printed Cardstock Paper

(I believe those are the colors)
Plus PAPER HOUSE-Cardstock Stickers Wild Thing

Doodlebug Design Snips & Snails Double Sided
PrintedCardstock Paper

If you haven't yet "Liked" Scrapsome FB Fan Page, you may want to do so now because the "reveal" of my DT project and of course the other Team members projects too, will be on Scrapsome FB Page and the Scrapsome Blog. Plus, anyone who does the challenges along with us too! To go along with the challenge you can purchase all these items and so MUCH more at the Scrapsome Store HERE!

Exciting News!

Sorry, for not posting much, I'm trying but I am still computer sharing as my computer is still be fixed. After all this time the computer guy best have retrieved all my files!

On to more exciting stuff! I have been chosen to be a member of Scrapsome.com Design Team!! They have a Facebook page too HERE, let them know I sent you!

We had our first DT Challenge with one of my sketches :) see the Pics and notes below:

Sketch for Challenge:

What can you come up with from the sketch?

My Layout!
Double Layout - This is a quick easy and simple layout that can be used in any album.
Remember not every page in your album has to be embellished out, having simple pages helps focus on your pictures/memories and that is the whole point of Scrapbook albums!
Left Side. I chose to use Heart Brads for my Banner. I also added doodle twine to look like the hearts are hanging from it. I added lil button brads in one corner of each photo mat to add a lil something. Plus added some more twine to tie the whole layout together.

Right Side. I did the same for the banner on this page too. I also inked all the edges of all my pieces of paper to have them pop since the background paper was baby blue and the blue n Green circled paper almost blended in and wanted it to pop. I also double matted both the Yellow and Circled Paper photo mats to add some extra color.

Close up of Journal spot. You can either hand write your own lil note or stamp a saying or print a phrase/sentiment out and add to that spot. I added an extra circle and a heart brad to jazz it up a bit along with more of the doodle twine.

Close up of the Left side "Banner" of the hearts on string/twine.

You can join the challenge. You can either add link to your comment below or to my FB Fan Page The Scrapoholic or on ScrapSome FB Fan Page.  Make sure you put its for the Sketch Challenge!
