Scrapsome Design Team First Challenge Snips & Snails 3 of 3 Projects

As you may (or may not) have seen my past two post (three really) of the products I received from Scrapsome to do my DT Challenge which was to do anything! I just LOVE the Kids paper Doodle Bug "Snips & Snails" and the Bazzil Cardstock plus the cardstock Stickers!

I was flooded with so many things to do! If you missed the Mini Pocket Album I made and Posted you can check it out HERE and if you missed the Coordinating Card check it out HERE

Of course with any gift and a Card, what do you need?
A Bag or Box, of course!

I haven't mad one of these in so long! I came across a whole punch of these Clear Acrylic Pillow Boxes that I've had for quite some time. I remember at a Scrapbook Expo in CA I want to say it was the 2nd one I went to. There was a booth that had these as a Make n Take. It was a smaller one and for a Birthday. I of course made mine to coordinate with and Hold the Card and Mini Album I made.

Start with the Clear Acrylic Pillow Box
You can make one out of Paper or Cardstock too

You cut a 4" x 12" Strip from your choice of Paper.
Wrap around the Pillow Box and adhere the edge
that laps over the other edge of paper.

Then you cut a 4" x 4" (or size of your choice)
as you can see I missed measured and cut short so I made do with what I did.
You adhere the Square down after you ink or distress the edges, if you choose.

Next, you cut a 3.5" x 3.5" Square, round the corners if you like.
Ink or Distress the edges of the paper, if you want to.
Then adhere it to the bigger square that is already adhered down.

This is where you Choose to decorate for your Theme and Style.
I used the Doodle Bug Paper Snips n Snails Print that had Borders of Clothesline with baby items.
I cut/trimmed out another Clothesline, added adhesive to the back
and wrapped it around the Pillow Box.

I then started adding the Paper House "Born To Be Wild" Cardstock Stickers.

I usually flip thru my Sketches to find what I think will work with the paper and Theme plus the "Style".

Here is My Sketch I used:

I made a coordinating card that I personally think is just adorable!

Scrapsome Design Team First Challenge Snips & Snails 1 of 3 Projects

I posted a "Sneak Peak", a week or so ago, of the products I received from Scrapsome to do my DT Challenge which was to do anything! I just LOVE the Kids paper Doodle Bug "Snips & Snails" and the Bazzil Cardstock plus the cardstock Stickers!

When I saw the Designed Doodle Bug Paper, I was so excited! I was flooded with so many things to do! I just had a new nephew born in March and haven't made anything for the parents or baby or his Big Brother yet! I was running out of time and had to get making something! The first thing i made was a simple Mini pocket Album! Its small enough to carry around in your purse or Diaper Bag.

I tried making a video but just kept getting interrupted or messing up the measurements. so a video will be coming soon, the past 2 days were bad arm days and doing a video on major pain meds, not sure if it would be funny or just plain embarrassing plus I slept most of the 2 days away. I had my post pre-written, hoping that on Monday I was going to get the video done but like I said I haven't. But I also am working on a cut-file with several "designs" for this mini Album simply because I know for me (and maybe its just me & my brain that can't seem to get the measurements scored properly. So, those will come along with the video, fingers crossed later this week as I need to test cut them before I share! I had to wing the measurements because I found this adorable mini album on Pintrest but the blog no longer existed :(.

Don't you just hate when that happens!? I know I do, or when it brings you to the main blog and not the post because it wasn't pinned properly.  Which reminds me I want to do a tutorial on how to "Pin" a great "Pin" properly so you don't have to go searching a blog most times unsuccessfully and wasting more time trying to find the post nevermind the time spent on Pintrest "Pinning" and finding more and more stuff to "pin" LOL!

Blah-Blah-Blah! Here is what you came here to see; the pics of the adorable Mini Album!

MOnkey Shape Book

Over on Fantabulous Cricut they had a challenge to make an Animal Shape Book. Which was a perfect challenge to get my butt in gear for making a great "order" for a friend for her first grandchild! I used the Cricut and New Arrival cartridge and one cut from Zoobaloo. I used CTMH "Chocolate", Desert sand Brown bag, Colonial White Card stock, sorbet, sweet leaf and crystal blue card stock. I also used my favorite emboss folder "Swiss Dots"! I bound it together with one jump ring on the Monkey's right ear and tied some cute ribbons to add some decorations. I used Cats eyes chalk inks brown tower (don't remember the names and they don't have labels on them) to ink the edges of the cut peices. I used Chocolate and cocoa to ink the Body peices.

Mini Book

I made this mini book for my husband's cousin for mom's day.  She sends us pics of her beautiful twins every holiday with those Holiday photo cards.  I love getting them since we live across country from each other.  So i took my collection that i've saved over the years and made this mini album for her.  The faces are blurred out.
