MTC Monday ~ DT Challenge

MTC/SVG ChallengeMonday

First I'd like to thank all the fallen soldiers for serving this beautiful country I am privileged to live in, The USA. In memory of these brave men and women my MTC/SVG Files are free so that you may display your patriotism of the freedoms we enjoy today because of those who have fallen, served, do serve and those to come!

Every Monday, is a challenge to create a project with my new MTC/SVG files. I always have at least one Image or complete "collection" (see MTC Tab for more info about my files) free, so no purchase is required. The New files are "featured" and are always available in both MTC and SVG format for purchase at a low affordable cost. The MTC/SVG Design Team, (Which Currently I am having a Call to Grow my Design Team, Click the Design Team Tab for more info) are given the Collection of Files and they choose the image(s) of their choice to do their Inspirational projects for you. Be sure check out their Inspirational Projects on their blogs or Facebook, they'd love new Followers and maybe leave them a lil love. We all love reading comments and So does my Design Team.

This week's MTC Files (also available in SVG) is

MTC/SVG Monday Challenge

Welcome to MTC/SVG Monday Challenge

If you haven't heard the news, SCAL (Sure Cuts ALot) will no longer be compatible with the Cricut just like MTC (Make The Cut) they have both been sued by Provo Craft (the corporation that owns and manufactures all the cricut machines) have come to a settlement agreement that the software will no longer support the cricut. If you already have SCAL or MTC they both will still cut with your cricut so long as you don't update your cricut firmware or SCAL or MTC with any of their future updates you will be fine. If you have one of the other cutters you will be perfectly fine and it won't effect you.

So back to the Monday Challenge:

The Scrapoholic's  MTC/SVG Design Team are given my "Collections" of Files and they choose the image(s) of their choice to do their Inspirational projects for you. Be sure check out their Inspirational Projects on their blogs or Facebook, they'd love new Followers and maybe leave them a lil love. We all love reading comments and So does my Design Team. Now between last week and this week, i had a little mishap with exactly which "collection" was supposed to be somehow i typed out two different schedules for my DT so there was some confusion. So this week I have 2 gals who will have some inspiration for you, for normally this is a non-DT week. Which if you are interested in being a part of my DT click the Design Team Tab up top for more info.

This week's MTC Files (also available in SVG) is Collection Die Cut Papers
you can find most of my files for sale under the MTC tab (I am still working on some buy tabs in between packing to move to be able to purchase the files, its a slow process w/all i have going on right now)

Vacation Blog Hop Day Three!

Welcome to day Two of the blog hop. If you haven't hopped along the Hop you'll want to start HERE (click that "here") it'll take you to Nancy's blog for Day One. but, if you are on the right lily pad hopping path  You should have come from  Monica's Blog. This hop is short and sweet but has some awesome projects! Its a hop that last 3 days, not everyone is posting a new project everyday, but a few are.
We are very fortunate to have a sponsor for this hop. Betty from Simply Betty Stamps is offering up these fun stamps! So to qualify for these stamps you have to do the following:

1) If you are not a follower of my blog, please do so in the right hand column.
2) Leave a comment on my blog AND on every blog along the hop.
3) On Monday, 5/23 @ 10 AM CST, Nancy will pick THREE winners and each will receive one of these fun stamps.
Thank you Betty for donating these stamps to our fun blog hop! She is also the last stop on our hop so be sure to check her out (and all the others as well!).

Vacation, oh how I long for a vacation! We haven't been on a vacation in 3 years. Our last vacation was in 2008 just after my injury to my arm and my first surgery. I was still in my splint and my surgeon was not happy we were going on vacation, but we had it all scheduled in planned since Feb. My husband had just gotten his own store to be #1 the manager of a store that needed a HUGE fixing and turn around. So off to Yosemite we went and we made the best of what we could of the vacation because alot of what we planned to do we couldn't because of my stupid arm, then about day 2 we were on notice to evacuate the whole time because huge fires broke out and then on top of that my husband's district manager called him at least once a day to complain about the 2 employees at his new store that he had only been at for a week or complain about something. We did have several "neighbors" in the 3 "room" cabins. It was 3 hotel rooms together like a duplex but a threeplex? One room the people were from the same town and had family from the UK they packed up and left as soon as the fire rangers came to say we were on notice. The little town was a tourist town and by day 3 it looked abandoned. We made the best of the vacation that we could and just spent alot of time as a family. We did go to San Fransisco for 2 of the days and stayed overnight at a hotel there. We had firemen (and they were good looking) that stayed in the other rooms next to us. We got to chat with some of them when they were "off duty" the kids really loved that. We paid one night for their rooms, if we could have afforded to we would have paid the whole week. So in anyways between packing to move and this hop I realized i really need to start scrapping for myself alot more! I scrap alot for everyone else (which I love to do and I think am better at), but I have so many pictures to scrap, but I did realize how much I do have done, i have a box of 12 x8 x12 full of finished layouts. But i have at least 20 yrs of photos that still need scrappin. For today I chose my favorite Vacation Layouts that I have already done because I just couldn't choose on what pictures to scrap and with moving i couldn't get into 10 different vacation trips cause my hubby would have been very upset! LOL! I can't wait til we get up to Oregon and unpack, which I have my scraproom stuff marked "priority" LOL! So here is what you came for, not my long story about a vacation that wasn't the greatest.

This is one of a few that is of our Yosemite/San Fransico vacation of the fires

Meeting BeetleJuice at Universal Studios when we had year passes technically really not a "vacation" layout

Vacation in NH w/cousins on Uncle's lake

This is my favorite Disney layout this is for our year at Disneyland album, again we had year passes that the kids got from relatives as a christmas gift so technically not a "vacation" layout but many go to Disney for vacation.
That's it for the hop, be sure to continue along the hope to see other fabulous projects! Remember to come back tomorrow for MTC/SVG Monday Challenge.
There is always a free file and new "collections" files for sale at a great low affordable price anyone can afford!
Here is the line up in case you hop along the wrong lily pad path and get lost.

Thank you for checking out my post! There are MANY awesome stops along this Vacation Blog Hop. Your next stop is my CFS friend Jackie - http://jackiesscrappinpad.blogspot.com/

When I was invited, I thought I know exactly what I am going to do, you know what didn't do it! In the process of packing up my scrap room (which has been at a snails pase stuck in molasses) I have found unfinished projects and of course tons of photos and my layouts I have done over the last few years that aren't in an album cause there is only a few pages of many to be done. Today, I am going to share some of my layouts I did for The San Deigo vacation that i still have over 1,000 photos to scrap.  But this is what I have done so far, with a few that just can't post cause they are just not post worthy and need a make over.

Cover Page Layout for the Wild Animal Park album (whenever it gets finished)

Some pics from the San Diego Zoo using Cricut Animal Kingdom and Zoobaloo

This lion was gorgeous only a huge palte glass between you and him and his wife!

Momma and baby Gorillas

Close ups and journaling about the gorillas

Cover page Layout for Sea World Album (whenever that gets finished too)

Exit Buddies for our 2nd Day at Sea World

Chelsie's HUGE pickle on a stick!

The Dolphin show!
Thats's it for Today, be sure to come back tomorrow for more Vacation Scrapbook Layouts

Here is the line up in case you hop along the wrong lily pad path and get lost.
