I got a NEW Cutting Machine!

I got a New cutting Machine, it was an early Birthday/Christmas gift from my dad. Its a bit of a learning curve, but it uses MTC as its main software. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE Make the Cut Software!
This is my new machine!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this machine!

I have had it for almost 2 months now. It took me a few days to get use to some very different things, such as loading the mat, its a manual thing. Also, getting to learn the controls of the blade. The only thing I don't like about this machine is the manual blade setting in the housing. There's no number to remember/set, its a fixing and adjusting between the different types of cardstock, vinyl and such. Which means alot of test cutting in between and wasted time. Eventually, I'll just buy more blade housings and have them set for the different materials. Otherwise, I love it.

This was my first official project that I cut with it:

I've been working on a few "word" Card files to add to my Etsy Shop.

I will be listing my Silhouette machine, the MTC software Code that came with the new machine,  and my Wacom drawing tablet in my Etsy shop this weekend. I just got to charge my camera and get some good photos and write up a description for them.

Until Next Time...
Happy Kutting!

  1. Wow, your dad rocks!!! I've never heard of a Zing, sure looks like it cuts real good. Thinking I may have to check it out as I am currently not happy with my Silhouette machine at the moment. What do you think of it compared to your silhouette?

    1. I was never happy with my silhouette, doesn't cut as detailed as the cricut or the Zing. I was regretting selling my cricut expression and buying the silhouette. My first one was a lemon but even the 2nd just never did what others can get it to do? I could never get it to cut chipboard, even with the deeper angled blade. The biggest thing on the Zing is the blade learning to adjust and setting the blade is a learning curve. Like i said too is adjusting the blade in the holder is difficult but thats the only thing I have run into having issues with. I have cut all sorts of materials in it and cut really detailed things and I LOVE it! I made sure within the first two weeks it was going to cut things I needed it to cut.

  2. Thank you for that information. The silhouette not cutting chipboard is exactly why I don't like it. Well that & the fact that the blades fall apart to easily.

    1. I'm not sure. I've had MTC since it came out. I would try the MTC forums ask there. The people on their forum are super helpful. http://forum.make-the-cut.com/
