This is a fun thing to do for a candy dish. I plan to give some as gifts filled with my Famous Fudge. Some I do plan to add their names, or some cute saying cut out of vinyl but I don't have my machine set up to cut. I guess I need to pull that out and get it set up.

Basically, you take some basic or fancy candlesticks or small fancy vases and maybe even some small candy dishes. They can be wooden, plastic or even glass. Mine are all glass. You'll need some super glue. Any ribbons or yarn, tinsel, beads and any other type of embellishments you desire to decorate.

You take the candle sticks and stack them as they fit together. There is a bit of playing around with them. Once you find the right style and concoction you will super glue the pieces together. Be very careful as not to super glue anything you don't want stuck together forever like your fingers :O

Started with all these:

This is for one of the Candy Dish concoctions:

 Add some Green skittles
then add the next candle holder upside down
then add the candy dish up top
Embellished with a simple ribbon bow

Here is a different one:

 And another One:

 Started with these:
 Step 2:
 Step 3:
 The set of 2 together:

I still have more to make but need a few more jars or candy dishes or bowls.
I have some that I want to add some more stuff to too.

Hope you have enjoyed all the post thus far, we still have 5 more days to go! Be sure to check back tomorrow to see whose blog you'll be going to.

30 Days of Handmade Gift Giving Blog Hop ~ Day 25 Project 4

Project 4!

I got this idea from Pintrest and have been dying to try it. I had several frames that were broken during the move so it was perfect for this project since you don't need the glass!

You spray paint or hand paint the frame with color of your choice. Wooden frames work best. I really like the way the Krylon brand spray paint  works.  I usually will buy no name brands but sometime the name just is the best. So once you paint your frame(s) you want to allow them to dry overnight is best so its completely dry.  Then you'll want to pick out some coordinating ribbons and some Christmas Ornaments. Tie the ribbon on to the ornaments. You'll want the ribbon lengths at different lengths for each ornament. Again use an odd number of Ornaments as odd numbers are pleasing to the eye for most people. Once your frame is dry and you have your ribbons tied onto the ornaments you'll get your hot glue gun and glue the other end of the ribbons to the frame. Depending on your frame, some have that lil groove for the glass, if so, put just a dab of hot glue into it and try to tuck your ribbon into them after add some more but just a lil hot glue on the outside of the groove to help that ribbon hold. Once you got all the ornaments attached let it sit till the glue is dry.
Once its all dry if you want you can do a little to big bow for the front of the frame and then hot glue that to the top front.  Then Hang it on your wall, front door or give as a gift.

Start with this:

 and end up wth these:

This is my 3rd project for today.

My 2nd Project is HERE

This is a Dessert and its delicious and of course Easy. Do you see a theme going on with me EASY!

Its a Pudding Parfait

To make you choose your two favorite Instant Pudding Mixes. The Best thing if you have any diabetics or just don't want the kids to have any more sugar is get the sugar free pudding. I use to do this when we lived back East in New England, since my husbands family had diabetics and they loved it cause they weren't cheating and got to have a yummy dessert.  Then you need graham crackers and Cool whip. Fot the Cool whip they have both fat free and a sugar free Cool Whip, its sometimes hard to find but if you look hard enough you can find it, again if your looking to make a sugar free dessert.
Simply follow the instructions on the box for the pudding. Then Find your Glasses you want to use, I used our simple wine glasses that we use for special dinner occassions, but we don't drink wine.

How I layer mine is a lil layer at the bottom of gramham crackers crushed (whihc you should do ahead a time.  Then about two large spoonfuls of Chocolate pudding (or one of the flavors you chose), then push and spread it out and down. Then a large spoonful of cool whip and do the same by pushing it down slightly and smoothing it out. Next a layer of crushed gramham crackers, about a large and a small spoonfuls should do it. Again push and smooth out that layer. Next Add 2 large spoonfuls of Vanilla pudding (or whichever flavor you chose), again push down and smooth out the layer. Then if you choose a small spoonful of the other pudding you first put in (but not necessary) Then top it off with a large (or two) spoonful of Cool Whip. If desired, you could sprinkle with jimmies (also known as sprinkles). Then place in the fridge to cool until time to serve.

You can make these as large or small for individual portions which is what I love about this!

Enjoy at Christmas time or anytime of the year!

30 Days of Handmade Gift Giving Blog Hop ~ Day 25 Project 2

This is my 2nd project for today.

If you missed my earlier Post this morning Click HERE

My next project is a Feathered Wreath. Again an easy and kinda of inexpensive project.

What you need is:

A Wreath base either a Styrofoam one which is getting harder to find for a reasonable price or other solutions are a swim noodle (if you can find them this time of year) or foam pipe covers, which is what I used.

Ribbon to make a hanger and bow

Feather Boas of your choice of color(s) I found some for a decent price at a yard sale a couple dollars each.
I used Red and Green for a Christmas Festive look
.
If Desired ornaments, I placed some on mine I chose silver glittered ones from the score I got at Goodwill the other day.

First you want to get your foam pipe cover (or swim noodle) and wrap it around into a circle and tape together really good. I suggest duct tape, but since my kids are tape thieves and are obsessed with any kind I couldn't find any and just used a good packing tape.

Once you have that done, make sure there are no bends in the circle if there are and you can't get it to stay formed in the circle and you keep getting the kink, just wrap that lil part with a piece of tape to help it keep its form.

Then take some packing tape and wrap it inside out around two spots so the sticky side is out.

Take your ribbon and tie around the tubing making a double knot, then go up make a loop and tie a knot (double if desired but not necessarily) then tie the rest into a bow for your hanger to hang your wreath.

Then take one of your boas and start at the end and place it around the tape part you just did where the sticky side is out. then go around the tubing leaving space for the next boa to go in between. If one boa is fuller than the other, I suggest placing the fuller boa on first and the other one second.

Then Repeat with the next boa, starting at the other spot where you had the tape going outside and wrap it around the tubing in the spots you left in between the other boa.

Tuck the loose ends of the boa under neath and around the other placed boa to keep it in place. Then fluff out the feathers around so that some that got scrunched or hidden come out and looks fuller.

If you choose to add ornaments, take the hook and poke it into the tubing and curve the rest around the tubing where desired. I suggest using an odd number of ornaments as odd number embellishments are more pleasing to the eyes.

Then hang on your front door or where ever. Or give it as a beautiful gift.

What do you think? Something you might make?

Poinsettia Wreath MTC - SVG File

Yesterday I posted my Poinsettia Flower wreaths. They are so easy, fun and Festive and can be done in so many colors and embossed or not embossed. Anyways, payloadz wasn't working the past couple days so i wasn't able to upload the files to get my buy it button to post. I am selling the files for $2.50. The file is a zipped file which contains both MTC and SVG format. I don't know how to convert to any other and I can do the ESP/AI format if needed just post that you'd like that format but it doesn't appear anyone who comes here wants/needs that format, so I rarely bother with it, but will do it if need be.

Here's a few reminder pictures:

You can purchase the MTC and SVG Files (for Make The Cut and Sure Cuts Alot software) by clicking the BUY IT NOW button. (paypal is required, and once paid is an automatic download)

I am trying to work on a PDF for hand cutting for those that don't have an electronic cutter.

Until Next Time...
